Meet ‘ELE’ Acumen Development Trust’s Elephant at Haswell

Acumen Development Trust is introducing a new company mascot ‘ELE the Elephant’ on Thursday 16th August 2007 at a family fun day at the Lisa Dixon Centre in Haswell.

The name ELE stands for Acumen’s work in Employment, Learning and Enterprise and the elephant will make its first appearance at the family fun day, which is also organised by Acumen Development Trust.

The fun day was free and activities on offer included face painting, bouncy castle, arts and crafts, jewellery making, smoothie making and the fire brigade were there.

Acumen Community Engagement Worker Joanne Cook said: “the day encouraged local residents to rekindle the community spirit and to meet Acumen’s new mascot ELE the Acumen Elephant.”
