Free Trip to Hall Hill Farm
Acumen’s outreach workers Jan Embleton and Trudy Wilkinson took lone parents, unemployed people and their children to Hall Hill Farm, Durham.
The trip provided an opportunity to visit an educational farm with a variety of animals including chicks, baby lambs, sheep, pigs and rabbits, plus more unusual animals such as the llamas, wallabies and highland cattle.
On the trip, parents were given the opportunity to speak to Acumen about the support on offer regarding confidence building, learning and employment.
Jan said: “It was a great day for all the family and enjoyed by all who went.”
