What is Future Jobs Fund?
Future Jobs Fund is a Grant designed to enable organisations to create new jobs by engaging with long term unemployed young persons and others who face significant disadvantages in the labour market .
What is the eligibility criteria?
- The job must be new and additional to current staffing
- Be expected to last at least 26 weeks, a minimum of 25hrs per week and pay at least the National Minimum Wage
- Be of a benefit to the Community
- The potential employee must be resident in the North East
- Be aged 18-24 yrs of age, have been unemployed and claiming JSA for between 39-52 weeks or other long term claimants who are in areas of high unemployment
- Eligibility confirmed by JCP prior to engagement
What is the eligibility criteria for an employer?
- Be located in the North East of England
- Undertake that new jobs are additional to current staffing and expected to last at least 26 weeks
- Adhere to the National Wage Regulations and pay at normal rates for the business or industry concerned
- Comply with Employment and Health and Safety Regulations set by the Government
What is the Grant and how is it paid?
- Reimbursement of salary costs for 25 hrs per week at National Minimum Wage and Employers National Insurance Contributions will be paid on a weekly basis by BACS and on proof of attendance
